Climate risk disclosure

A rapid read of your climate-related risks and opportunities

Climate information is increasingly easy to obtain. What’s harder is making sure your claims about climate-related risks and opportunities are reasonable and supportable and that the information you disclose is material for users of reports.

Using public sources of information and data, g×m can give you a rapid review of climate-related impacts across sites, logistical networks, catchments, and areas of operation or governance. If you have a current assessment of risks, we can test it to see if it holds up against the science.

We can also pinpoint any information gaps you need to fill, whether that’s with analysis of your own data, expert elicitation, or use of a decision-relevant scenario. Where more work is needed, we identify what that work is and what would be most valuable to do.

As well as that, we can clarify what climate-related information is material to users of your report and what would be additional and beyond ASIC’s expectations. This helps you avoid the risk of over-reporting.

For some corporations with limited exposures, the assessment may show that little further analysis is required for the first reporting cycle. This is still worth knowing.

Our rapid review is a cost-effective way to start, or confirm, your approach to assessing and disclosing climate risks.

Get in touch with us if you are preparing your first report.

Group 2 corporations still have time to confirm their approach before locking it in.

For Group 3 corporations, our analysis is a very cost-effective way to lay the foundations for a confident disclosure.

For state-owned corporations in the water sector – get in touch. We are doing research into how the concept of materiality works for you.
